Testing vegan snacks

Olen ollut kasvissyöjä useiden vuosien ajan. Lihaa, kalaa tai kananmunia en syö ollenkaan, mutta ehdoton vegaani en ole. Vegaaninen ruokavalio on kasvattanut viime vuosina suosiotaan ja sen huomaa kauppojen tarjonnassa. Onkin ihana testata uusia tuotteita ja kokea huikeita makuelämyksiä. Rehellisyyden nimissä täytyy kyllä mainita, että jotkut kokeilut eivät todellakaan ole olleet onnistuneita ja vegaanistenkin tuotteiden valikoimasta löytyy karmaisevia vaihtoehtoja. Testasin muutaman vegaanisen jäätelön, välipalapatukan ja jogurtin. Testi on erittäin subjektiivinen ja perustuu täysin yhden ihmisen arvioon. Makuasioista kun ei voi kiistellä. 😊

I have been a vegetarian for several years. Meat, fish or eggs I do not eat at all, but I am not an absolute vegan. Over the last few years vegan diet has come more and more popular and even the stores have increased the variety of vegan products available. It is wonderful to test new products and to get great taste experiences. To be honest I have  to mention that some experiments have not been that successful and there are awful alternatives in the range of vegan products too. I tested a few vegan ice creams, snack bars and yogurt. The test is very subjective and based entirely on one person's judgement. We all have our own taste. 😊

Jäätelöt

Pirkka maidoton suklaajäätelö 500 ml

Suomessa valmistettu jäätelö on suht edullinen ja koostumus on kiva. Maistuu siltä miltä nimikin - suklaalta. Ostaisin toistekin. 😊

Oatly Quite Ordinary Strawberry -jäätelö 500 ml

Ihanan pehmeää ja vaaleanpunaista! Maistuu todella mansikkaiselta ja sulaa suussa. Ei maistu kauraiselta. Tätä lisää! Purkeissa hauskoja tekstejä englanniksi .😊 

Välipalapatukat

CocoVi Luomu Supersnack Appelsiini 30 g

Pikkuinen patukka on tehty taateleista, cashewpähkinöistä, rusinoista, kaakaosta ja appelsiiniöljystä. Simppeli koostumus, mutta todella herkullista! Harmillisen pieni patukka, taidan napata toisenkin. 😋 Plussaa luonnollisuudesta.

Vegeway Minttu-Suklaa välipalapatukka 30 g

Pitkä ei ole tämänkään patukan ainesosalista: auringonkukansiemenjauhe, agavenektari, auringonkukkaöljy, kaakaojauhe, kaakaomassa, piparminttuöljy. Ei välttämättä ensimmäinen valinta suklaanhimoon. Koostumus hieman kumimainen eikä makuelämys päätä huimaa. Menee kuitenkin alas. Plussaa luonnollisuudesta. 

Jogurtit

Oatly Mansikka havregurt 1000 g

Tässäkin purkissa on Oatlyn jäätelön tapaan aivan hulvattomia ajatuksia arjen piritykseksi. 😊

Itse jogurtti on pelottavan harmaata ja täytyy sanoa, että makukin on harmaa. Odotukset olivat korkeammalla herkullisen mansikkajäätelön jälkeen. Koostumus sileä. Ei jatkoon. 

Mutta parhainta...

...ovat täysin luomut, lisäaineettomat minitomaatit omalta kasvimaalta 💕 Sori jätskit, patukat ja jogurtti, tätä ette voita!

Ice cream 

Pirkka maidoton suklaajäätelö 500 ml (Dairy-free chocolate ice cream) 

The ice cream is produced in Finland. It is rather cheap and the composition is nice. Ice cream tastes like its name - chocolate. I could buy again. 

Oatly Quite Ordinary Stawberry and Pirkka Dairy-free chocolate ice cream. Looks like real ice cream!

Oatly Quite Ordinary Strawberry Ice Cream 500 ml 

Lovely soft and pink! Tastes really strawberry and melts in the mouth. No taste of oats. I want more of this! The package has funny texts and wisdoms in English. 

Snack bars

CocoVi Luomu Supersnack Appelsiini 30 g (Organic Orange Snack bar) 

The little snack bar is made of dates, cashew nuts, raisins, cocoa and orange oil. Easy composition, but really delicious! Sadly the bar is so small, I need to grab another one. Points for the naturalness.

Vegeway Mint-Chocolate Snack Bar 30 g 

The list of ingredients is not long in this snack bar either: sunflower seed, agave nectar, sunflower oil, cocoa powder, cocoa mass, peppermint oil. Maybe not the first choice for a chocolate if I had to choose. The texture is slightly rubbery and does not make me feel "wow". But I can stand it. Points for the natural ingredients. 

Yogurts 

Oatly Strawberry Havregurt (Oat-based) 1000 g 

Like it was with Oatly Ice Cream, there are quite hilarious thoughts in this package to make one´s everyday more joyful. The yogurt itself is frighteningly gray and I have to say that the flavor is gray too. 

Strawberry was not the first thing that came to my mind when I saw Oatly Strawberry Havregurt. Are you brave enough to try? 

The expectations were higher after the delicious strawberry ice cream by the same company. Smooth texture. Won´t buy in the future. 

But best of all ... 

...are fully organic, non-additive-containing mini tomatoes from our own garden. Sorry ice cream, snack bars and yogurt, this beats you all!
